The Moroccan Ministry of Culture announced on Wednesday (June 7th, 2017) that a Moroccan Moroccan scientific team discovered what it said was "the remains of the oldest human being of the human race" in the site of Igud mountain in the central province of Yusufiya.
The "first human being" is an extinct species similar to man, who lived in Africa in ancient times, and is meant by the human primate or the first rational person, and it is likely that this kind is the direct predecessor of the wise man who developed later

In a statement received by Anatolia, the Moroccan ministry said that the international team was able to discover the bones of a human being belonging to the Primordial Homo sapiens, the remains of gazelle, and stone tools made of flint, which were brought to the site, at Mount Igud.
She explained that the date of these remains and tools was determined about 300 thousand years ago, by means of radiation technology to determine age.
"These bones, therefore, are the oldest remnants of the human being who have been discovered to this day," said the Moroccan ministry. "It is older than the oldest human being who has been discovered to date about 100,000 years ago."
The scientific team, under the supervision of Moroccan researcher Abdel Wahid Ben Nasr, of the National Institute of Archeology and Heritage of the Ministry of Culture and Communication of Morocco, and the German researcher Jean-Jacques Jublan, the Max Planck Institute for Advanced Anthropology in Germany, according to the statement Moroccan

According to two studies published on Wednesday by the German scientific journal Nature, it was thought, before Morocco was discovered, that the cradle of humanity in eastern Africa and the emergence of the "sensible man" were about 200,000 years old
However, analyzes by an international anthropological team, led by French paleontologist Jean-Jacques Hoplin, on excavations found at Mount Agud in Morocco, showed that modern humans have undoubtedly inhabited much of Africa 300,000 years ago.
Thus, this discovery is the oldest trace of humankind to date.
"Our findings refute the argument that the first wise man lived in East Africa 200 thousand years ago," Hopblin was quoted as saying by French media
He explained that the "rational man" does not mean modern man, but "is of our species, but with differences, especially with regard to the shape of the skull, and then the brain and its functions
The French fossils scientist stressed that the fossils discovered at Mount Igoud in Morocco are closer to contemporary humans than any other species of human-like organisms, such as primitive humans
